Home is where the Horror Is Scenerio Viveca Moody

The officer had walked up to the car he leaned on the side of the window shaking his head, "No driver's License, miles out of your residential area, you are in some serious trouble young women when the Sheriff gets here and he's already been radioed.  He wants to deal with you personally."

Viveca groans and puts her hand to her forehead gently, wincing at the tender spot where her head had hit the wheel when she'd drifted off the road. She'll have a bruise, but it doesn't appear to be bloody - inconvenient and horribly embarrassing, but it doesn't seem like she's done any serious harm to herself.

Her dignity, however, might never recover.

"Damnit Jake did you have to call Dad?" Viveca says with a sigh. "It's not like I was trying to make trouble for him or for you, you know."

"Oh come on Vivi you know your old man would throw a fit if I didn't call this in, especially with your friend Morris missing. You know it's got your dad on edge, he had us digging through the marsh the other day." Jake will bite his lip a little.

"We know you don't want to cause trouble but something is wrong."

Viveca sighs and leans back in the seat. "I know, I know," she says.

She'd been worried about Morris too - the nightmares had only gotten worse after his disappearance, making her sleep shorter and more restless every night. She'd eventually taken to trying chemical assistance to sleep, but the first sleeping pill she tried had only made it impossible for her to wake up, it hadn't gotten rid of the dreams - so she'd spent the one night trapped in a nightmare she couldn't even wake up from. She'd gone on to try other methods. Evidently, the latest one did let her sleep - unfortunately it seemed to also encourage sleepwalking. Or, in this case, sleep driving. It was the only explanation she could think of for being in a ditch in Silent Hill in her car and pajamas.

"Don't worry your dad will be here soon." Jake says and will then start to take off his jacket. "You cold or anything it's a bit on the chilly side." He says frowning with concern.

"Yeah," Viveca says, realizing that yes, it's fairly chilly, at least for being out in a long t-shirt and shorts. "Thanks," she says, accepting the jacket and putting it on. She looks at Jake glumly.

"He's gonna kill me, isn't he?" she asks with a wry twist of her lips that tries to be a smile.

"He's your dad, I don't think so you should hear how he talks about you."  Jake will say with a smile.

"So I was worried sick that you'd hurt yourself, you should go to a sleep clinic or something, maybe I don't know take a vacation. "  Sheriff Shane Moody sighed noticeably, "You know I worry about you because I love you.  You're my little girl and I know Morris going missing was hard on you."

He says as he drives towards their old house.

"I'm fine Dad," Viveca says with a sigh. "No, I'm not happy that Morris is missing - hell, if I find out who made him go missing I'll take their liver out through their nose. But what am I supposed to do?" She gives a crooked, slightly sad smile and adds, "I'm sure you hardly need me to nag you about his disappearance, I'm sure his folks are doing enough of that."

Her tone is sympathetic to the Strubs - she feels slightly sick at the thought of how long Morris has been gone and a part of her is direly afraid that he's dead somewhere and his killer's wandering around free. He hadn't had a happy home life before the orphanage and the Strubs - she didn't think he'd just disappear on his kids. He wouldn't do that to them. Not of his own free will, at least.

"Your trying to give me a heart attack you and your brother are in competition, you know he's in Boston now? taking some kinda art class." Sheriff Moody sighs and then responds to the comment about the Strubs. "Rowena has been calling up Cindi crying to her about her baby being gone at least three days out of the week and then Cindi feels bad and I get to hear about it. I either need to find him or buy her a pony, well getting a horse is starting to look pretty good."

"I told you that you should've gotten Cindi a pony instead of giving her a son but nooo, did you listen to me?" Viveca says with a wry smirk, but she reaches out and lays her hand on Sheriff Moody's arm lightly, saying more seriously, "don't talk about having a heart attack. I'm very selfish and not about to give you up anytime soon, Dad."

Sighing, she settles back in the seat again, staring out the front window.

"I'm sure if Morris can be found, you'll find him." Viveca just hopes that Morris turns up alive.

"Yeah but you only mentioned that AFTER he was already born and I think Cindi would have taken exception to me trying to return him." The Sheriff smirks a little a the hugs he looks at her. "Listen little girl no one lives forever. I am getting on in years. Well if I find that kid and he's alright I'm going to give him a piece of my mind."

"Well, in my defense, I was 10 at the time - I didn't know how much trouble he'd be until he was already born," Viveca jokes dryly - but she does go a little more serious at his comment.

"Oh, I know damn well no one lives forever," she says, looking out the window. "I just don't have to give anyone up without a fight."

"It's alright little girl, let's get you home, anyways if you don't come over for dinner Cindi will never let me hear the end of it.   Ever."  He says and starts to drive towards the home he'd owned since Viveca's adoption.
