Cindi Moody wife of Sheriff Shane Moody, likes arts and crafts, she makes gift basics for the town welcoming committee decorations for town events, Vivi is easily able to find superglue.

Vivi also
*Obtains ball of string
*Obtains Scissors

Ellroy St travels North to South in Old Silent Hill.    On one side is mainly a line of residential homes, all of which have been around as long as anyone can recall.   At one point Old Silent Hill was really the entire city more or less.

on the other side of the street is a river, The Tonenili River flows out from the lake and is normally a good place to go fishing.

For some odd reason back to even the 1950s a city tradition was if there was any form of drout for the citizens of Silent Hill to gather along Ellroy St. and hold a part.  Singing and Dancing sometimes chantin, "Oh I hope it won't rain."

This seems to be based on the same magic that will bring a bus to you if you light a cigrette.  However as the tourist industry grew and the farms dwindled less and less rain was needed.

Today Ellroy St was empty.   Fog bellows up from the Tonenili River spilling out onto the Street,  It's hard for the three travelling down the street to even see a block.

"Which way?"  Frank buckled up his coat.  "Hey - maybe we should head back to the fire station and get another coat and an axe or two.  I just don't want to backtrack.  And where can we get more ammo - some shotgun shells for Morris would be nice."

"We need to go down to the Gas Station and then hit the bridge, right now the police station is closer then the Fire Station." Morris will say still carrying his heavy pipe with him as he jogs lightly.

As the Shell Gas Station comes into view you can see that the S has fallen off and is no longer there.

The sign isn't lit up but the letters stick out because of their bright colours. "Oh what's a lovely touch! I knew they where giving out money to remodel for tourist season nice to see our tax dollars at work!"

Viveca keeps the rifle in hand but keeps the barrel pointed downwards as she moves with the two men. She follows the direction of Morris's glance and she smirks at the sign. "Or maybe it's just a sign of how their gas prices are lately?"

Shrugging, Viveca studies the gas station - unless they were going for molotov ****tails the gas station wouldn't have much for them. That hardware store Morris mentioned sounded promising, though.

"Where did you say that hardware store is, Morris? It's got to be new - and about time, at that. I do not know how Silent Hill got along without one till now."

"We might want to see if there's a vehical there - and possibly some energy drinks." Frank waggles one before dropping it back in the gymn bag.  "Maybe cheap backpacks too - gas stations sell a lot of crap.  snacks.  ... maybe a toystore." Frank looked thoughtful.  "Can get some dangerous toys there." He grinned.  "Town as old as this might have lawn darts - you hit someone in the head with a lawn dart, he's going down."

"Heh dad had lawn darts he never let me play with them said he only held onto them for historical reasons." Morris says rolling his eyes a little. Morris looks at Frank, "Yeah those must be new never heard of a drink called Health drink. Yet I'm seeing them all over town."

"Higgins opened up on Riverside Dr. it's Across From the Blue Catfish diner and the scrap yard." Morris says looking over at Vivi. "So are we heading into the Gas Station?"

"Bet they have chains, too." Frank grinned and looked at viveca. Letting her decide. "Up to you - We might be able to get the same stuff along the way from other places and we won't be slowed down by searching for things that aren't there. Or we might find something spiff. You know the town better and you're not wracked with exhaustion and nerves from being here a week. and we both know i'm not really very stable."

Viveca smirks at Frank's comment, saying, "I'm touched by your faith in me - I don't actually live in town, I just visit regularly." She snorts, adding, "sometimes they're even scheduled visits."

She shrugs at the question about the gas station. She hadn't spoken her skepticism about getting anything particularly useful from it - and it's not like they're actually in a hurry per se. She wants to get back Morris, Frank and herself back to the normal world - but she's got no idea how she landed up in this one in the first place. Side-trips thus don't seem like they're going to change much, aside from making sure they're better prepared.

"I don't see the harm in checking the gas station, since we're here already. I do suggest we continue on afterwards, though." She points at Frank, saying, "you wanted to hit the hospital and you," she points at Morris, "mentioned a hardware store. Both seem really good ideas."

The Gas Station is one of those ones with a single low building which contains things that tourists might want to pick up along with the person who needs to be paid. The pumps are outside and the station don't seems to be lit up, the sight stands by itself in the gray and the price of gas is displayed below the name.

The S lays on the ground away from the gas station.

and then Frank and Vivi's radios suddenly flair up in a burst of static announcing the arrival of something...

"Well I haven't seen a lot in the time I've been running around then again I've spent a good deal of it locked in my apartment." Morris said and frowns deeply, "Those things just vanish after you kill them and they don't seem to come back, I guess there's a set Number of them."

Then he blinks a little, "what's that sound?" Morris has yet to be around when the radios go off.

"... Monster alert. the radios make that noise when there are monsters around." Frank unshoulder the rifle and slid a round into the chamber. "I'll take point, you cover me, if that's alright, Viveca?"

Viveca twitches slightly at the sound of the radio static, but she lifts the rifle a little - careful not to point it at either of her companions - and looks around. When Frank speaks she glances over and considers his suggestions for a split second before nodding.

"Sounds good. Lead on," she says, looking over to Morris to give him her best reassuring smile. The smile that says It's alright sir, I'm a police officer. Everything's in hand here and there's nothing to worry about.

"Stay close and keep your eyes open," she says. "We'll be fine."

One of the Women without a face moves out of the mist again she moves with that sway that would be sexy if it weren't so over exaggerated. She opens her mouth she has for a face as wide as possible and lunges forward towards Morris.

Morris will back up and hold up his pipe to defend himself against the creature, he's found himself in all of this using mainly melee attacks against the strange women. "See I'm not on drugs!"

Frank doesn't comment - it is unnerving how they can just be nearly invisible in this fog, but commenting on it will just cause more nerves. He very calmly shoots for the thing's face, above and between where its eyes should be. If it does not go down, another shot to the center of the chest as a follow up.

Viveca stares for a second at the creature - even tentatively believing the guys and listening to their story was no preparation for the sight of the unnatural 'face', or rather the lack of it. But as it starts to lunge towards Morris Viveca lifts the rifle and shoots at the creature - refusing to even think of it as a woman. It's not - it's a monster with no face, just a mouth. She aims at the lower head, if possible - if she's successful she might at least take the jaw off, if not the head.

Morris Moves over quickly and bring his boot down on the creature there is a sound of snapping and she stops moving and lays still. "So... Gas Station.. you alright Vivi?" He asks moving back over to the two person with the guns.

He's concerned about Vivi it's a look in his eyes that makes Frank not have to ask which one of those girls in the picture made him smile.   He's not ignoring his friend by any means this is something else.

Frank will let them reassure each other - he wants a closer look at this thing if they're going to give him a minute or two. He feels like he needs to know more about these things - why they're had to kill, what they *are* other than..well... demons. And if they used to be humans. He knows this nightmare will lie to him. but he also knows it will tell him unpleasant truths he will take as lies. Or at least, will want to.

Viveca smiles, albeit a bit uneasily, seeming oblivious to any undertone in Morris's question.

"I'm fine, I just..." She blinks, then shrugs. "I'm... not used to shooting things that look human." She looks at the figure as Frank checks it out, lips twisting in a thin line as she jokes dryly, "even if that's only vaguely."

"The question is," she says with complete seriousness, "are you okay? That thing went straight for you." She frowns slightly, remembering the dog. It had gone straight for her - was it because she was in the lead, or because it was built of her strong emotions? Not a pleasant thought - but at least it gave an idea of how the various 'monsters' the men had mentioned would behave.

If this abomination of biology was ever human it's not now. There is no place in the gaping head for a human sized brain and the only way a women's body would look the way this thing does was if they where to wear a corset for years on end done up to the point of obserdaty.

Nothing indicates it fallows proper biology it's a mocking parody of the female form.

"If it makes anyone feel any better, this thing's not any smarter than a chicken." Frank said, half to himself but loud enough to hear. "Its ... well, its a construct. I've heard of them but never seen one of course - I lived in the modern world. Grandfather told me about them. Maybe i should have gone full time into the shaman biz after all. Its not real - its just got enough physical body to move and exist but its not an animal or anything natural. Stuff of nightmares or a shaman's creation. Even Ravenmockers are supposed to have been human or at least in human bodies. This was never human - or anything else."

"I'm glad I've been here for awhile I haven't seen a lot more then these things, I think I'm getting blaze about them." Morris will let the pipe rest over his shoulder before looking over at Frank. "Mother use to say that the devil tricked us into believe he comes from outside and not inside."

Morris shrugs, "I always through she was just being Ironic."

Viveca nods to Morris's response and looks at Frank and the dead husk on the ground. She nods, feeling a little reassured and calmed by the assurance that it is not and never was human - though a small part of the back of her mind protests at becoming blase about such things. She tells it to shut up.

"So these things are definitely somehow made of our nightmares and strong negative emotions?" she asks, looking from the creature to Morris and Frank, lips twisting in a slight smirk.

"Freud would have a field day with us." Shaking her head, she looks at the gas station, listening to see if the radios have fallen silent.

"Shall we, gentlemen? Unless there's anything else we can learn from this thing?"

"Y'know... that means we can counter them if we can summon up a little bit of positive energy. I'm afraid ... I haven't got much positive energy. First time in a couple of years that i haven't felt dead. I guess ... its been awhile since anyone saw Frank Blackarrow and not the Blackjack gang slayer." He wiped his hands on his pants and got up. "Lets do it."

Morris will stare at Frank a little before he speaks, "Frank listen to yourself, I know that you suffered a heavy loss and that you lost someone important to you, but stop talking about yourself like you're dead, your stronger then this. You're probably the strongest person I know aside from Viv."

"Like i said before you had something very important taken from you but don't let the bastards have you as well. We'll get through this and we'll all still be alive and who know what the future holds. We just have to get the person who's responsible for all of this."

He doesn't look at the other two. "Karen."

Karen was a girl at the orphanage, a sweet quiet thing that had a tendency to talk to people who weren't there, the staff chocked it up to her having a wild imagination, every now and again she'd say something that would make you think. One days she told the other kids that the wind said it was going to rain and it did for two days almost straight.

Now Morris was saying that Karen was responsible for this.

Viveca stays quiet through Morris's lecture at Frank, though she glances at him sidelong and her lips twitch slightly when he calls her 'strong'. She doesn't add to the lecture, though she does look at Frank with an expression of wary concern, but not fear.

When Morris mentions Karen, Viveca blinks once and frowns thoughtfully, speaking after a second.

"Okay, I've done my best to believe 10 impossible things so far today, this one's pushing it a bit. If Karen's strong enough in... whatever, to be able to construct a weird fog/shadow world that traps at least three people in it so far, why only do it now? She was a weird kid, so what?" Viveca pauses, staring at Morris in concern and when she continues her voice is a little quieter and gentler.

"Is there something you know about her that you haven't had a chance to tell us yet?"

"She was always spirit touched, Karen. If she is seeking help - well, a doctor, an investigator and an officer of justice could be what she ordered up... and no offense, Morris, but maybe i died on that bus. I could be here because i'm really, truly dead. And in a hell of no hamburgers." He managed a wry grin. "

"Before I got here I had dreams that got me thinking about the Orphanage, Karen, Moon and Ben, but I've been Karen here, she's walking around in white dress she doesn't seems scared she doesn't seem lost, I think she lures us here."

Morris says and frowns, "I just get the feeling something is wrong with her..dangerous.."

Viveca sighs and shakes her head, looking at Frank first.

"And maybe I died in my sleep, and maybe Morris is dead too. Maybe maybe maybe. I'm no philosopher, but you look pretty lively to me. Bitchy as hell too, when your back's up. You look, sound and even smell alive - I'm going to assume that you are alive until proven otherwise." Her lips twitch into a thin caricature of a smile and she adds, "same with me."

Looking over at Morris, Viveca nods thoughtfully. "Alright. I find it hard to swallow that she's the main cause, but I'll buy that she might be involved in... whatever is happening. Still, we've already seen almost-human... things, already, so it's also possible it's not even Karen but something that looks like her from a distance. So I'll treat her with extreme caution if I see her - and won't let her get close enough to open as wide as that last something in a dress we've seen."

"Everyone's bitchy when their back's up - just a fact. How else would you tell their back was up?" He didn't bother going on with his theory that they were trapped in the spaces between the deadlands and the world of the mundane. His grandfather had enforced that. Never talk about things to people who have a vested interest in the opposite of what you're trying to say.

"I trust your feelings there, Morris. Kind of sad that I've had some similar dreams but i just ... didn't really pay very much attention to them. I mean... i couldn't get here. I was behind bars. Now...strangely... i'm not. Kind of freaky when you think of it."

"Why don't we check out the gas station before we get more guests? But keep your eyes open for Karen and don't trust her." He says sounding concerned and making his way over to the door of the gas station, he stops for a moment with his hand on the door, "I don't see how it benefits us believing we're dead. I also gotta believe I'll be able to get back to my kids."

He sound fairly grim before he opens the door.

"Not we. Me. Viveca could be dreaming still. You could be trapped here for various reasons - you don't have to be dead." He nodded and edged inside ahead of Morris. "Me first - i'm the dead guy." He grinned teasingly. he had the rifle ready but pointed down, looking for bugs or bitches, the latter either four legged or 2.

Viveca smirks faintly at the banter between the two, taking rear guard - silently keeping Morris between her and Frank, not as a barrier, but for safekeeping. She keeps her eyes peeled, wary of something - anything - trying to take out the last in line by sneaking up behind.

Frank enters the Gas Station, it's a low building with glass windows at all sides, the fog seems to press against the windows slightly like a force not merely a reaction to the weather, the low hum of the coolers signifies that the cooling units are still working.

There are rows of magazines and candy bars, the front counter stands out by itself. Flat taking up the entire wall farthest from the door.

Morris Moves over and picks up one of the Magazine, "Great I was just thinking I miss reading People Magazine." He says in a slightly sarcastic tone before putting the magazine back.

"I think there might actually be food here, gives me the creeps it's like the clerk just stepped out for a smoke, kid named Rodney. Wants to save up money and go to college outside of town... Always asking what Boston and the rest of Maine is really like."

"I'm not sure anything you get from a gas station acutally qualifies as food." Frank peered around, ready to mash the bupkiss out of anything that jumped at him. or lurched or whatever. "Grab a couple of bottles of water - and there's bound to be some energy drinks in cans - those should still be okay."
He also was looking for a map - and possibly any survivors. useful tools or weapons. keys to any of the vehicals out there - being in a car might be a lot safer than lurching through the fog on foot. Someone might whack them with a fireman's ax, mistaking them for a monster.

"What, you miss having your brains rot out of your head that much?" Viveca teases Morris, but she pats him on the back in passing as he talks about Rodney - more concerned about Morris's mental state than she lets on. If he's been stuck here the entire time he's been missing it's bound to have taken its toll.

She nods at Frank's words, though she frowns at the crowded racks of the gas station.

"This is creepy, there isn't even dust on the packaging. Oh, there's a little under the rack, but... where you expect to find a bit of dust. It really is like the kid just stepped out." She snorts, lifting a muffin that preservatives or no shouldn't have a shelf life of more than a week or so.

"This looks fresh as they ever get in this sort of place," she comments, making her way past the energy drinks, a small brown bottle with an unfamiliar label catching her eye. She blinks at it and reaches into the case.

"I found your new drink, Morris," Viveca says dryly, then looks at the case and frowns. "Last one, though."

Grabbing a couple of packages of beef jerky, she looks at the cashier booth and frowns thoughtfully, voice soft as she asks no one in particular, "I wonder if they miss anything we take?"

There is a Microwave and one isle with what passes for food, all of it in cans and all of it Microwaveable. The back room seems to be locked, however there seems to be a set of keys behind the counter that Frank Finds.

"Are you going to drink it right now?" Viveca asks Morris with a laugh, but she passes him the container.

She frowns as Frank snatches up keys - but nods at his suggestion, looking thoughtful and a little relieved.

"Yeah, I was thinking about that. Maybe do a tally - if they miss things, we'll at least know what we took, y'know?"

Reaching behind the counter she snags something too: a pad of paper and a pencil. She writes a brief note before making a quick list of what they take - then shrugs and pockets the entire pad and the stubby pencil. Might be handy, if only for future reminders to herself.

"Yknow, i could ring it up. we have the register keys." Frank pointed out. "I'm rusty but i've worked a register way back in the dark ages. which is good, since th is isn't exactly state of the art equipment here." Frank jingled the keys again. he liked the sound.

Viveca blinks at that for a moment, then smirks. "Oh, it's not that I don't know how to work a register, it's that I don't have money. I seem to have 'arrived' in my sleep without anything I didn't have directly on my person - which includes my purse."

Shrugging, Viveca says, "I'll keep a list and come back when I have my purse and we're not being attacked by creatures that are all mouth."

Looking at the jingling keys, she asks, "so, what all do those open?"

Morris thinks for a moment he come here often and tends to buy things in the building area of he gas station. He rack his brain for what all those keys could be for, "I know the office is back behind the staff door, and so is the staff bathroom there should be a spare set of keys to the outdoor bathrooms along with a key for the backdoor and from door."

Morris shrugs, "That's if I'm right." he admits.

"Gas pump keys, register keys, door keys, locker master key for the employes lockers probalby. Keys breed - you never want to throw them away even after you have no use for them." He'll try the keys until one of them opens the staff door, or none of them do.

The Door opens easily there are two doors behind it and a hallway, a large cabinet the hallway doesn't come to an end but a third door. There is also a hanger for personal effects, at this point there is a coat hanging from it with a note in the pocket.

the two doors closest are labeled Office and Washroom.
