Luckily the bridge is down and the group can make their way to the Silent Hill police station, fog is collected around it and the door is closed, the brick is old and gray and no one seems to be parted in the parking lot.

the building is so familiar to Vivi but now it's dark and alien the familiar features only make it seem more horrible.

"Kinda small - guess they don't have a lot of crime around here." Frank scanned the area, looking for movement.

"Small?" Morris asks with a smirk, "It's go two whole stories to it, I would assume that's pretty bigger, bigger then Shepard's Glen. I think.." Oddly enough Morris has never been to Shepard's Glen, only thing he knew was one fact, "Only thing bigger in the Glen is their graveyard."

"Yep, you did. I mean, two whole stories for something other than a hotel?" Viveca says, lips twisting into a slight, amused smile. "That's pretty busy in Silent Hill."

Her smile fades into a faint, concerned frown as she stares at the building. It was a second home growing up after the orphanage. There was a time she knew every person who worked in the building. Looking at it in this light - or non-light - it looks bad, as twisted and strange as the rest of this shadow-city, just different enough to take a headlong plunge into the uncanny valley.

Viveca shakes herself and looks around - but unless something was hiding around the corner or behind the door, they seemed to be alone.

"Time's a-waistin'," Viveca says, stepping forward and reaching for the doorknob. She's moving slow enough someone can stop her - she just doesn't see a point to further delay.

The front area of the Police Station has the desk and a waiting are for local officers to speak to waiting persons, there is a stair well which is blocked off and a doorway leading to the sheriff’s office, in this case Sheriff Moody.

Morris looks around, “Place sure looks empty.” He will comment as he looks at the empty desk.

((thought we had a rifle and a shotgun. and *the* rifle that frank has as opposed to all them thar rifles everyone else has! he's not rambo or schartzenegger, he's not gonna use one in each hand and one tied to his peepee!

... though i'm sure quentin tarentino would love that image.)

"Hey. when's the last date in the log book?" Frank peered around, floor, ceiling, exits.

Viveca pulls out her flashlight and flicks it on, using it to help supplement any faint light already present as she scans the room. After a moment she checks the radio she's carrying, making sure it's on before she steps in and looks around - studying the stairs for a moment but frowning at the office.

Distracted by the question about the log book she heads towards the desk - if the book isn't open she'll flop it open and look for the last entry.

The Log book shows a kid being booked for spray paining one of the local businesses, the log shows it’s today and the handwriting is Vivi’s father’s. However oddly enough there is something beside it not normal but there is a sticky note with it.

“Kids today, bah when I was this kid’s age this type of thing would ruin you, glad Vivi was never like this.”

“You remember when we had your dad’s birthday party here because he was stuck working on his birthday?” Morris will say walking over to the office door and trying it idly. “My mother and Cindy baked a cake together.” He says in a vague manner.

Of course Mr. Strub and Cindy doing anything together was always interesting, it was like two alien races trying to get along without eating one another.

"Yeah, I remember," Viveca says with a smirk. "I had more of my friends at that party than I did at any of the others."

Viveca gives a snort of surprised laughter at the additional note in the log book, then looks a little puzzled.

"Last date is today, for some graffiti - Dad doesn't normally make 'personal opinion notes' though. Definitely starting to seem like more than actual physical reality is making itself known across whatever 'barrier' we're behind, but thoughts and emotions. It explains the loose journal entries, that's for sure."

Viveca riffles through the desk quickly, just to see if there's anything useful.

Frank just kept watch.  His hackles were up a bit.  Last time he'd been in a police station...well, actually, every time he'd been, it had been a less than fun experience.  So he slipped into his 'professional' face and just kept guard.  There'd be no happy memories for him in a police station.

"That's because most of your friends where people older then us who drove with the sirens on to pick up beer." Morris will joke in a friendly manner, his eyes will shift to Frank and then back to Vivi, "So this place is updating itself as our town changes."

Viveca snorts and sticks out her tongue at Morris. "Hey, Dad never did that." Her lips twitch into a smirk as she adds, "ok, I can't vouch for the rest of the guys. For some of them, that was an emergency."

Sobering slightly, she straightens when she's done checking drawers. "It looks like it," she says to Morris's comment, glancing over at Frank too, concerned by the silence - but she's seen that look of wary grimness on people's faces before. To him this is 'enemy territory'. Viveca opens her mouth, then shuts it again. Hopefully he just wouldn't start thinking of her - or both her and Morris - as being 'enemies.'

Heading to her father's office Viveca checks the handle - pushing the door open if she can and if the radio doesn't suddenly go crazy. She'll worry about the stairwell when she's done the accessible areas.

Frank is keeping quiet and following for now.  Wondering if this police station has a morgue.  Hoping they dont' have to in there, if it does.

"Frank you doing okay?" Morris will ask looking back at his friend with a concerned look on his face.

Sheriff Moddy’s office has a desk in it but oddly enough there is a metal box in the middle of the desk with several locks on it. There isn’t a lot more a window behind the desk and some chairs two filing cabinets.

On the wall is a picture of the Moody family, an old picture, Vivi is in all purple and the youngest child of the family is just a baby still.

"Just on edge.  Last time i was in a police station without handcuffs was to deal with my wife's death."  He rubbed one hand on the back of his neck to get his hackles down.

Viveca watches the interaction for a moment, finally deciding that even if it pissed him off, if nothing else a joke might distract Frank.

"I'd offer to put handcuffs on you if it would help, but I'd hate to make Morris jealous," she says dryly, leaving open to interpretation who - or what - might provoke said jealousy.

Stepping into the office she frowns at the desk - or more properly at the box on it.

"What the hell is this thing?" Viveca says.

"Thanks, I'll pass on that.  Handcuffs bring out the Blackarrow and Frank goes away."  He said with a half smirk - it was hard to tell if he was joking or not.

"Its where the lawyers store their souls between trials."  Frank said in reference to the box dryly.  "I have no idea - i figured you'd know, you work here, but obviously its another thing like these ... medals and stuff.  and the monsters." He started looking around for keys.

The desk has different pictures of the family on it along with a shopping list reminding the Sheriff to pick up things at the store, such as eggs milk etc, it seems so oddly mundane with the chest on the desk.

The Pictures are ones that Vivi never recalls posing for all happy family moments like things being kept close for comfort. Though one of the pictures has slid from the frame a little and there is another picture underneath.

“Can we not discus bondage about childhood friends?” Morris will ask, he will put his pipe over his shoulder and let Vivi go through her dad’s desk it only seems polite.

“Technically Viv doesn’t work in Silent Hill, she moved out of town so she wouldn’t be getting orders from her father.” Morris says shrugging, “So I actually have to go one town over to have coffee with her.”

"Probably keeps the old hens from gossiping about it more than they already do anyway, so its a good thing."  Frank said a little distractedly.

Viveca laughs at both the guys, saying, "hey, at least I got a smirk out of you," to Frank, but outright cackling at Morris's reaction, but she nods at his further words.

"Yeah, there's enough blither of nepotism around town, I figured it was better if I didn't work here - that, and I can vent to Dad or Cindi if my boss is a jerk, and they're just my folks. But if Dad's the boss..."

Viveca studies the box for a moment, but the pictures distract her - mostly because they shouldn't exist. One of her smiling like a goon and soaked to the skin at about age 10, another one of Cindi with ice cream dripping off her nose as she laughs.

Viveca frowns thoughtfully at the one with the slipped picture, reaching out to pick the frame up carefully, examining both the top photo and the one underneath.
